Monticello, IN – December 2, 2024

The historic Lake Shore Drive-In Theatre, a cherished local landmark since 1949, has unveiled a brand-new website as it gears up for its spring 2025 reopening. At the conclusion of the 2024 operating season, Ryan Harrison, Ryan Crawford, and their son, Franklin Crawford, purchased the theatre from long-time owner Phyllis McLachlan.

Known locally as "The Ryans," the new owners are thrilled to launch the revamped website, which features a modern design and a reimagined logo that reflects their vision for the iconic drive-in. “This is more than a theatre—it’s a piece of community history and Americana,” said Ryan Harrison. “The updated design and branding capture our dedication to preserving its legacy while bringing it into a new era.”

Fans of the Lake Shore Drive-In can rest assured that much of what makes the theatre beloved will remain unchanged. "Other than some planned preventative maintenance and a fresh coat of paint, our goal is to keep things just as they’ve been," noted Ryan Crawford.

The Ryans plan to reopen the theatre in late April 2025 and extend its operating schedule through at least the end of October, weather permitting. The updated website provides information about the theatre’s rich history, upcoming events, and new developments.

As one of Indiana’s few remaining drive-ins, the Lake Shore Drive-In continues to offer a nostalgic yet timeless entertainment experience. With the Ryans at the helm, the theatre looks forward to bringing the community together for many more seasons.
