FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: September 28, 2024
Monticello, IN - Lake Shore Drive-In Theatre, a cherished local landmark since 1949, is excited to announce the launch of its new logo, designed to celebrate its rich history while inviting a fresh perspective. The Ryans—Ryan Harrison and Ryan Crawford—who acquired the theatre in August 2024, are committed to preserving the beloved facility’s classic charm while infusing it with vibrant, nostalgic Americana colors reminiscent of the golden age of drive-ins.
“We have no plans to change what isn’t broke; it’s a well-oiled machine,” said Ryan Harrison. The Ryans, along with their son Franklin Crawford, intend to honor the legacy of former owners Phyllis and the late Earle McLachlan, who maintained and improved the theatre over their 20-year stewardship.
The new logo encapsulates the spirit of yesteryear while ensuring that the Lake Shore Drive-In Theatre remains a beloved destination for generations to come. As the theatre continues to operate as a community hub for film lovers, the Ryans are excited to usher in this new chapter without compromising the essence that has made the drive-in a treasured experience.
